Success in science and engineering is not easy for anyone
regardless of gender, but the reality is that things are
harder for women. It may mean more work, but there are
some things that can be done to help ensure success in
the pursuit of a science or engineering career.
- Work hard in school and aim for the best grades possible.
- Seek out female role models and mentors and participate
in events sponsored by organizations such as AFIMA and
FEMSA.
- Join professional engineering organizations and societies.
