Patrice M. Bubar

Patrice M. Bubar graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, United States, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering.

She began her government career with the Environmental Protection Agency where she spent 13 years in the Water, Superfund, and Radiation Programs. For the past 9 years, Patty has been working in the Office of Environmental Management at the Department of Energy. During this time, she served as the Director of the Federal Facility Compliance Act Task Force for 3 years. She also served as the Director of the Office of Planning and Analysis. This office was responsible for the integration of activities that support policy development and program guidance for the Department of Energy Waste Management program.

Currently, Patty is the Director of the Rocky Flats Office where she is leading the effort to successfully cleanup, decommission, and remediate, by 2006, the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site, whose primary mission was to manufacture and assemble nuclear and nonnuclear weapons components, as well as to recover plutonium.
