Yongshin Lee is manager of global procurement engineering, Korea-operation of IBM Company. IBM is a leading global provider of computing, Internet and Intranet solutions, services and communications products, all of which are recognized for excellence in quality and support in the industry. The company's headquarters are in White Plains, NY.

Yongshin's current focus is to develop strategic technology/manufacturing suppliers in Korea and qualify those suppliers for the benefits of IBM and the region. Korea has been growing partner for IBM for technology and manufacturing for last decade.

Yongshin started her career as a junior engineer in IBM procurement engineering in 1986 as the first female professional in engineering field. Received IBM Asia Pacific Excellence Award in the recognition of her engineering leadership. Then she moved into technical marketing. She was the first sales rep in technology sales/marketing in IBM-Korea. In the technology sales, she broke US$10M revenue for the first year of sales and received two consecutive years of sales recognition. After two years of leave for family planning, she was back to her current operation in 1996. This year is her fourth year back in procurement engineering. She became a team leader in 1998 and became a manager this year. She also works as memory technology/manufacturing champion in IBM Global Procurement to plan IBM audit strategy for memory suppliers all over the world.

Yongshin holds a bachelor's degree in EE from Seoul National University (SNU); a master's degree in semiconductor EE from the SNU.
